How to plan your visit to Lakeland Orchard & Cidery

One thing is for sure when visiting Lakeland Orchard & Cidery: You can plan on having a good time. It doesn't take much to have a day full of fun at Lakeland Orchard & Cidery. There's no need to create a big itinerary or pack a lot of stuff. A little bit of planning, though, might not hurt in making the most of your time.

To enhance your visit, first check out all of the great information on our website and on

previous blogs to explore all we offer. The FAQ tab answers many frequently asked questions. That way you can decide what you want to do most so you don't run out of time. After all, it's easy to get distracted when there are so many great choices. For instance, you may want to pick your own produce, which we are excited to offer new to our guests. We are growing sweet corn, potatoes, beans, eggplant, squashes, all kinds of peppers and much more. Also be sure to see our field full of zinnias, which is absolutely beautiful.

Leave yourself enough time to enjoy your visit unrushed. Any time of day is a great time to be at the orchard, but you may want to consider if earlier in the day, when it is often cooler for picking, works best for your family. Plan to have lunch and relax by listening to live music after. Or you might choose to throw some axes, play cornhole, ride the carousel and then pick your vegetables and fruits before you leave.

While this time facing Covid-19 has taken away lots of events and activities, you can still come and enjoy the orchard. Just be sure to take a look at our Covid-19 policy tab on our website. The biggest thing to remember for the 2020 season is that all tickets must be purchased online, and we have moved to a cashless system at the orchard. If you forget and bring cash, no worries, as we can load the cash onto a gift card. Remember to bring a mask and keep social distancing in mind while you visit.

You won't need to bring much else to enjoy your day, but there are a few exceptions. Make sure to wear closed-toe shoes if you plan to participate in our axe throwing and comfortable clothing to play and have fun in. You may want to come with an empty stomach so you can enjoy our treats and sweets. Otherwise, just see where the day takes you during your time with us. And one last thing, bring a big smile because you are bound to use it a lot as you play your cares away and fill up on nature's beauty and bounty.
